The construction of a domestic use block paved driveway will generally require:

· The excavation of the existing ground to a depth of approx. 250mm - 300mm below dpc

· Laying of Geotextile membrane

· Compaction of MOT Type 1 aggregate or ready-mixed C20/25 concrete.

· Retaining borders to be bonded on and haunched with concrete

· If impermeable paving, the required drainage system installed, e.g. rain gulley’s, ACO ground drains etc. .

· 50mm to 80mm block pavers of your chosen design laid on sharp sand or grit.

· Finished with kiln dried sand or 4mm grit swept into joints

Resin Bound

The construction of a resin bound driveway will require:

The excavation of the existing ground to a depth of approx. 300mm - 350mm
200mm - 250mm layer of MOT Type 1 crushed concrete is placed for the stability and drainage requirements
A sub-base layer of approximately 80mm of Tarmac UV stable ISO approved
Finally, 18mm of the chosen resin aggregate mix applied and smoothed to a trowel finish

Depending on your chosen overall design, the necessary edging, kerbs and steps are installed in line with the overall process.

We also supply and instal; Asphalt / Tarmac, Natural Paving such as Indian Sandstone and Porcelain which we normally use for Patios and paths

Patios
